About

A voice with vintage soul and a modern stage.

From a young age Shannon always wanted to be a singer, but it was at sixteen that she told her parents she wanted to do it as a job. Their answer: if you want to do it, you've got to prove it — get out there, be bold, and make money. So her mum handed her a prom dress and a speaker, and the next day drove her into Bath and told her to get out of the car and prove to herself she was brave enough to perform in the city centre, dressed in a ballgown.

That was the start. Singing is now her full-time job, and twelve years of it have taken her from those city-centre crowds to Hyde Park in front of 8,000 people, to Motion in Bristol, Paradiso in Amsterdam and venues across Ireland and the Philippines. She has also appeared on ITV's The Voice and recorded and toured with Hospital Records.

She has also judged on BBC One's All Together Now, on The 100 panel alongside Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls, with the show hosted by comedian Rob Beckett. And through it all she has sung at weddings, events and funerals.

Behind the stage work, Shannon is a vocalist and lyricist who writes melodies too — for Soave Records, the Rotterdam dance label, and Warner Chappell Production Limited.

Shannon is an entertainer, not just a singer. She reads a room as she works it, and when the moment is right she knows how to get people off their chairs and onto the dance floor.

Why book Shannon? Because this is not a side line — it's her full-time profession. She brings her own PA, shapes the set around your room and your guests, and if there's a song your day can't do without, she'll learn it for you.

Bookings

Live vocals for the moments that matter.

01

Weddings

Ceremony, drinks reception and first dance. The songs you love, sung live on the day that matters most.

02

Events

Parties, corporate evenings and celebrations, with a set shaped around your guests and your venue.

03

Funerals

A gentle, heartfelt performance to honour a life, chosen carefully with you and your family.

Types of events

Whatever the occasion, there's a set for it.

Alongside weddings, funerals and care-home sessions, Shannon also builds whole events around a theme — nights with a sound of their own.

Bottomless brunches

ABBA and disco themed — non-stop floor-fillers while the fizz keeps flowing, from Waterloo to I Will Survive.

Dolly Parton nights

A whole night of Dolly — Jolene, 9 to 5 and the country classics her nights are built around.

Undercover singing waiter

Dressed as part of the waiting staff, Shannon serves your tables — then the singing starts, and the room discovers the server has the voice. A surprise your guests won't see coming.

ABBA & disco

Bottomless brunches done properly

Shannon's ABBA and disco brunches are a whole afternoon in costume — metallic blue jumpsuits, feather boas and bell-bottoms on the guests, floor-fillers from Waterloo to I Will Survive on the set list, and the fizz keeps flowing. These are afternoons that end with the room dancing, not sitting.

St Patrick's Day

Irish performances for St Patrick's celebrations

With her mother's family from County Longford, the Irish songs Shannon sings are the ones she grew up with. St Patrick's Day is a date she keeps for, and she marks it properly — singing for St Patrick's celebrations and Irish shows, often alongside dance troupes in full dress, to rooms that know every word.

Irish

An Irish set, sung from the heart.

Shannon grew up singing these songs. Her mum is Irish, from County Longford, and this music has been part of her life for as long as she can remember — sung in kitchens and at family gatherings long before she ever stood on a stage. These aren't songs she learned; they're songs she was raised on.

Wedding packages

Three ways I can be part of your day.

Pick the package that fits your day — or just tell me what you're dreaming of and we'll shape it together.

Package 1

The canapé hour

Two 45-minute sets while your guests enjoy drinks and canapés. I'll pick the perfect songs from my list depending on the vibe the two of you are going for.

Package 2

The ceremony

  • 2–3 songs from my list while your guests arrive.
  • 1 song while you walk down the aisle — if it's not one from my list it can cost a little extra, just ask.
  • 1 song while you sign the register.
  • 1 song for the exit — I'd go upbeat here, it gets the wedding party started!

Package 3

Both

The ceremony and the canapé hour together — your whole day covered, from walking in to walking out.

See it for yourself

From a church wedding · singing live through the service
A song in the hall · performed live

And if you want an extra special touch, I can write a song all about your love story. It's an extra cost and we'd need to talk about it well in advance — but honestly, it's the thing your guests will never forget.

Not on the list?

Shannon will learn your song.

Every list on this page is a starting point, not a limit. If a song matters to you and it isn't here — a first-dance song, a hymn, the one that was playing when you met — Shannon is happy to learn it for you.

A song that isn't already in her set takes extra rehearsal time, so it carries an additional fee. That fee is agreed with you before anything is booked and confirmed in writing, so you know the full cost of your booking up front — never a surprise on the day.

The more notice you give, the more she can take on. One request a few weeks out is usually straightforward; a whole set of unfamiliar songs needs longer rehearsal and a larger allowance. Shannon will tell you honestly, before you commit, whether there's enough time to do your song proper justice.

Tell Shannon the song and the date — get in touch — and she'll let you know what's possible and what it would cost.

Equipment

Arrives with her own sound.

Shannon's Yamaha STAGEPAS 600BT PA system: two speakers on stands, a powered mixer, a microphone on a boom stand and cables

Yamaha STAGEPAS 600BT — powered mixer, two speakers on stands, microphone and cables.

Shannon performs with high-quality backing tracks on a Yamaha STAGEPAS 600BT — 680 watts of clear, evenly spread sound from a detachable powered mixer feeding two full-range speakers on stands, with a vocal microphone on a boom stand and its own cables. It is a complete, professional system that is carried in, set up and sound-checked quietly, so a venue, hall or marquee has nothing to supply.

  • Powered mixer, 10 channels, 680 watts

Microphone, line and instrument inputs on one board, plus Bluetooth for backing tracks — vocals, music and a guest microphone all run together.

  • Two full-range speakers on stands

Raised to head height and angled into the room, so the words reach the back without pushing the volume.

  • Vocal microphone on a boom stand

A handheld dynamic vocal mic on a stand that holds its position through a full set.

  • Feedback suppression and digital reverb built in

Yamaha's own processing keeps the voice clean and warm rather than harsh or thin.

  • Scaled to the room

Dialled right back for a chapel service, a care-home session or a wake; opened up for a marquee or a festival stage.

Telling Shannon about the room early means the right setup on the day — get in touch.

Music that brings back memories

Shannon, an experienced Music & Memory facilitator.

Alongside her performing work, Shannon has built a considerable practice as a Music & Memory facilitator, working with people living with dementia and people with learning differences in nursing homes across Bristol and Bath. Sessions are held wherever a resident is most comfortable — quietly at the bedside, or with a group gathered in the lounge — and each one is shaped around the people in the room.

Familiar, much-loved songs are chosen to spark memory and conversation, then drawn out with gentle chair movements, props and topics that follow the theme. Nothing is asked of anyone: residents are welcome to sing along, hold a hand, or simply listen. Above all, Shannon is driven by a simple aim — to put a genuine smile on every face, and to offer a few minutes of joy, dignity and good company.

One-to-one bedside singing

A home books an hour of Shannon's time in total, and over that hour she visits each room in turn, singing two or three songs for every resident she stops to see. It suits residents who are bedbound or who don't join the group sessions. Songs are chosen on the day, following each person's mood.

Music, Memory & Connection

A group session of singing, memories and gentle chair movement, with everyone welcome to join in their own way. There's a new theme every month — musicals, ABBA, rock and roll — and Shannon dresses for it. She often brings a memory basket of photographs and small treasures to start a conversation.

Legacy Songs

A personalised song telling the story of a loved one's life. Shannon writes the lyrics, records it with acoustic guitar, and the family keeps a digital download to treasure. Perfect for memorial tributes, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and family keepsakes — every life has a story worth remembering.

Every month has its own theme — a trip down memory lane in January, love songs in February, Irish songs in March, best of British in April… all the way to Christmas in December.

If plans change

Plans change, and that's completely understood. With 14 days' notice or more, your booking is fully refundable.

Closer than that, the booking is charged at 50% of the fee — though you're welcome to take another date Shannon still has free that month instead. Most homes have a regular afternoon slot, and it isn't always the one still free, so the date on offer may be at a different time.

Once Shannon has made the journey to your home on the day, the full booking fee applies — the travel is done and the time held for you, so unfortunately the date can't be moved.
